Arif Shivji became the CFO of a public oil company in 2007 where he managed all the financial aspects of the business. Since then Arif has been helping small businesses get a handle on all the accounting and administrative tasks that CEO has to deal with.

Over the years, Arif has been involved in several unique projects including:


  • Filed a joint prospectus for a $20M equity raise with a public company and arranged project financing of $4M based on discussions with lenders;
  • Advised the board of a private oil company on its $23M acquisition to address valuation and working capital concerns;
  • Prepared bids on petroleum assets in Trinidad for $70 million acquisition based on valuation metrics and review of dataroom documents; and
  • Provided a fairness opinion on a public company acquisition valued at $30M based on market metrics (% of NAV, Reserve values, cash flow multiples).

Previously, Arif was the Manager of Transactions Services with PwC Advisory where he assisted clients with M&A activity in Canada and UK. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. In addition, Arif is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.
